Spring sunshine, the extension to the Stamp Duty holiday and the relaxation of lockdown restrictions has continued to support buyer demand and as a result properties sold faster in the first two weeks of April 2021 than ever previously recorded, according to Rightmove.
In fact, 23% of the properties sold in March 2021 agreed the sale within just one week. March also had the highest number of sales ever recorded at over 190,000.
The number of homes for sale across the UK is currently at a record low, and it is this shortage of properties that is underpinning price growth across the market, which is now at its strongest since October 2014.
So, if you have been thinking of a change of scenery, for whatever reason, now really is a great time to make that move.
